Hello! I'm Eva, a Fashion Technology student at HoGent.
I am 21 years old and live with my two older brothers, my older sister, her husband, and my parents in Lede. In my spare time, I am a monitor at Chiro Nele Lede or I am working at the Utopia Café in Aalst. I also enjoy sewing, knitting and baking.
In June 2020 I obtained my diploma in secondary education at the Sint-Vincentius Institute in Gijzegem and my diploma in part-time art education at the Academy of Visual Arts in Aalst.
In Gijzegem I studied Human Sciences, where I was able to learn a lot about politics, culture, behavioural studies, etc., themes that interest me a lot. But the subject that interests me most is art. That is why I also followed part-time art education in two directions: Digital Visual Education and General Visual Arts. Thanks to this experience, I made the right choice to continue in Fashion Technology in my further education.

This training allows me to release my creative mind and fully express my passion for fashion. Pattern drawing, Product Design and Prototyping are the three subjects I feel most at home with because creativity is a very important skill to me. In daily life, I find sustainability very important, and I try to include this as much as possible in my projects.
To expand my horizons, I studied Fashion Design at VIA in Herning, Denmark for one semester abroad. My final semester, I spent in New York City as a pattern design intern while writing my bachelor's thesis on Size Inclusivity at AREA NYC. Within this company, I had the chance to be part of some amazing experiences such as New York Fashion Week, building new collections and the Met Gala.
With this, I hope to build a bright future in an industry that I have always dreamed of getting into. You can follow the process of making this dream come true in this digital portfolio.,
